Website Testimonials

' I am grandma to one little sweetheart, aged 4, with a diagnosis of ASD (autistic spectrum disorder) + language disorder. The SPD site is one of the first sites that helped us to focus where our grandson's problems lie. We started looking at the site itself when our grandson's problems became apparent over a year ago . It is packed with information sensible tips and links to further info. Since discovering the forum connected to the site it has been great. Even though I am a gran rather than a mum I have been made really welcome and we have been able to share our hard times as well as the many joys our grandson has brought to us. The forum is great place for all the latest news, reviews and TV programmes on SPD / ASD related topics. The members of the forum and the site manager are a source of encouragement and great fun too!!'

"When my son got a dx of SPD at 3 yrs old, what a shock, well we didn't know a thing... nothing at all about SPD, ASD, S and L difficulties, Aspergers, and boy don't you feel alone. I found this site about 2 years ago and oh how I wish I'd found it in the beginning, I have learnt such a lot not only through this site but also through meeting Babs and all the parents and grandparents who use it. It is packed with information, fun, help and support. I have made some good friends too. I would like to take this opportunity to thankyou Babs, for all your hard work in making an exceptional site. I have and will continue to recommend people come and have a look at the site who are feeling like we were in the beginning."

"My son has no diagnosis as yet, but it was obvious that he had speech and language delay as early as 2 years. He is now almost 8 years old, still has no diagnosis, but a good friend recommended this site approximately 2 years ago and it has been an invaluable source of support and help to us. There is a wide range of information available which is extremely helpful and I have made some good friends whilst visiting this site too. Having the opportunity to chat, swap ideas and advice, having a shoulder to cry on in times of stress, constant encouragement and having plenty of fun in the process with the other families is a great bonus. I would like to thank Babs for giving us all this site and for all her hard work into making it such a success."

" My 4-yr-old dd has SPD. This is the best website/information source I've found yet. The content is refreshingly balanced, lucid and thorough, and I've found that virtually all of the other online resources are listed at this site as well"

"I just had to tell you what a fantastic website this is. I discovered it a couple of days ago and cannot believe how much useful information it contains. We have two sons, one who has a diagnosis of Semantic Pragmatic Disorder and one who has a diagnosis of Receptive and Expressive Language Difficulties. All aspects of the website are exceptional from the therapy ideas to the personal accounts of Stuart Vallantine and the mother of a ten year old boy with SPD. I know that finding your website is going to make a huge difference to our lives and to the support that we are able to give to our sons, thank you so much for all the work that you have obviously put into creating such a wealth of information for people who either have SPD or care for those with SPD. I wish that we had found out about your website sooner."
